The San Diego Youth Development Center (SDYDC) Life Equals Fun Kid’s Camp mission is to reach out and minister to youth (ages 5 – 12 years) and families in meaningful and practical ways that helps the campers and their families grow physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. There are three components of the San Diego Youth Development Center (SDYDC) Life Equals Fun Kid’s Camp:
1) Spiritual Support Program
In school, campers (a.k.a. students) study subjects such as Reading, Math, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Computers. At San Diego Youth Development Center (SDYDC) Life Equals Fun Kid’s Camp we provide an environment where the campers learn Biblical principles with direct “every-day” applications to real-life situations. There are typically 4 – 5 campers in a group with one assigned camp counselor and some times extra volunteers. Each camp, participants will have the opportunity for camp staff to pray with and for campers and their families. IMPORTANT: Campers will need the support of their families at home in applying what they learn at camp.
2) Recreational/Physical Support Program
Campers participate in physical activities including Intramural Sports and Structured Physical Activity.
3) Enrichment/Social/Emotional Support Program
San Diego Youth Development Center (SDYDC) Life Equals Fun Kid’s Camp is a place to have fun, learn, create and meet new friends! Campers participate in group activities such as Music, Singing, Sharing, Field Trips and more.
